"The President of U.S.A. George W. Bush knows about Aboud and prayed with me for you". said Cardinal Mc Carrick, President of the American Catholic Bishops Conference, during his visit to Aboud on 10th March 2006.

Present also the Latin Patriarch of Holy Land and many Catholic priests of the Holy Land. Aboud, Ramallah Area. Cardinal Mc Carrick said to the people in Aboud : "I've spoken to the President of U.S.A George W. Bush about you, and I came here to pray with you for a sign of peace and justice from the High Court of Israel about the Wall in Aboud... As is written  in the Bible, Even if a mother could forget her baby, I will never forget you."

Cardinal Mc Carrick met Aboud Muslims and Christians, and listened carefully to their description of the social and economic problems caused by the Israeli Occupation and deepened by the building Wall. He greeted them stating "Christians, Jews and Muslims, are all sons and daughters of the same God, and brothers and sisters in the same father Abraham." Cardinal Mc Carrick then went to see the construction sites of the Wall.
